Hobo

Hi Tracey, Just wanted to let you know that things are going great with Hobo. We have changed his name to Hobie. He's a great dog, super smart and really loves the attention we give him. He seems pretty happy with us also. Taught him to lay yesterday in about 10 minutes. We are now learning to walk together instead of him pulling me along. (Otherwise, I thought about waiting for the snow and just putting on a pair of skis and let him pull me around the neighborhood.) Yesterday I got a package delivery and opened the door and he ran out, got almost to the street and I yelled, "Hobie Come!". He stopped in his tracks and came right back into the house. I was so happy he responded so well. Thanks, Sherran

Hank

Virginia, Hello. I just found this email address and hope it’s the right one. Anyway, I thought I would give you an update on our “Black Beauty” Buddy (formerly Hank). He is doing great and is really enjoying life. When we adopted him, he was a 65 pound lean machine. Now, he is an 85 pound monster. He still runs like a deer. We have sectioned off about ¾ of an acre in our backyard that connects to our house with a see-through fence so he can chase squirrels, rabbits and whatever to his heart’s desire. When he’s not outside chasing, he’s inside either laying on Linda’s lap getting petted, or snoozing upstairs on our king-sized bed – with a fan on, of course. He’s a very happy boy. We hope that everything is going well with you and T.A.R.A. Regards, Doug Buck

Hollis

Michael, I meant to send you an email sooner! We all had a wonderful trip back, the girls behaved beautifully. Hollis was welcomed by our group of dogs at home and has really taken up with our Australian shepherd, Bo. In the evenings she likes to lay by him and they snuggle! They run the house together and play with Roxie all the time! We've had a few potty accidents, but they were just that, accidents. She is still getting used to our schedule and the way that our dogs do things. Roxie loves having someone to romp around with. My mom keeps joking that if I don't pack her first thing she is going to hide her on my moving day! She has a grooming appointment on Thursday and I cannot wait to see what she looks like after. Once I get moved next Friday I will try to find my camera (it's hidden in a box somewhere right now) and send you a picture of the two girls. They are definitely two of a kind, and Hollis was a wonderful addition to our herd! I will try to keep you more updated once I move and send plenty of pictures of the girls getting settled into our new space. Whitney

Hollister

Hollister's new dad writes to tell us he's doing great! He loves his squeaky toys and his dad was nice enough to send us a wonderful video of Hollister & his doggy brother playing in the backyard. Congrats on finding your wonderful, forever family, Hollister!

Hercules

Hercules is doing good! He is due for his yearly check up soon, so I will be making that call to the Vet this week. He is quite the talker and snuggle bug. Our other T.A.R.A. cat Salem adores his company and they often groom each other. My other cats don't really care for Hercules sometimes but deal with him ok. One of Herc's quirks is getting in the sink and drinking water and he also loves to watch me water my plants. He is also obsessed with insects (I think he remembers seeing rogue crickets at Petco!) of any kind and he actually killed a wasp that was in the house!
