Joining Team T.A.R.A. is a wonderful opportunity for animal lovers to network and make friends while helping homeless animals. Everyone involved in The Animal Rescue Alliance is an unpaid volunteer. The time and efforts of each team member is invaluable.
There are a variety of ways you can contribute to Team T.A.R.A. as we work together to improve the lives of the animals in our care. The following volunteer opportunities are available:
Adoption Assistant
Assist in adoption process by calling Veterinarian offices, Landlords, and personal references to gather required information. May also help with various other duties involved in screening adoption applications.
Adoption Event Team Member
Assist Team Lead with all aspects of an adoption event.
Adoption Follow-Up Counselor
Contact adopters for updates and to answer follow-up questions regarding their new family member.
Cat Care Assistant
Help maintain clean and comfortable living conditions for cats at PETCO or PetSmart Adoption Centers.
Decorating Team Member
Assist Decorating Team Lead in coordinating and creating visual display for events.
Dog Walker
Provide exercise and socilization for dogs at our boarding facilities.
Dog Trainer
The T.A.R.A. Board would like to interview individuals with dog training experience to develop a program to educate volunteers and foster parents on standard training techniques.
Foster Parent
Provide safe and loving home for animals awaiting their forever family.
Fundraising Team Member
Assist Team Lead in coordinating and operating fundraising activities.
Street Team Lead
Research and maintain street level marketing and promotions; such as, donation barrels, posters, flyers, etc.
Grant Writer
Research and write grants. Previous experience preferred.
Graphic Artist
Create flyers, & other misc. marketing material for our group.
Transporter
Transport animals to and from events and medical appointments.
As a volunteer with The Animal Rescue Alliance, it is important that you share in our mission and are a good representation of the group to the public at large. Because it is imperative that our mission be upheld and not undermined by any of our members we are asking that, before you decide to volunteer, you read our mission and the following statements and be sure that you are in agreement and will follow them at all times.
