Finnegan
Hi Tracey –
Finn is a really good boy. He misses his brothers – especially at night. But he does settle
down pretty quickly. He’s been doing pretty well with potty training – has had a couple
accidents in the house, but for the most part is utilizing his outside time. He’s trying to
make friends with Toby, our corgi, and the cats. So far they’re pretty leery of him. I’m sure
they’ll work it all out, though. He’s found his match with treat stealing, though. He and Toby
keep stealing each other’s treats, so it seems to be working out well.
We’re planning on starting him on training classes shortly. He’s really a wonderful puppy.
Thanks much for all you do for these animals. It’s a much better world with people like you.

Frank
Hi,
Randy isn't sure if it's Frank, or seasonal stuff, but he enjoys Frank a lot, so Frank gets to stay! Frank has been a lot of fun -- we run or walk in the morning, and bike or walk in the afternoon; depending on the weather. It's a blast to be able to throw a ball and have a dog bring it back! It's amazing how much of a lab he is -- whatever he's mixed with doesn't dominate his personality! We've learned that we can't keep anything on the floor in the laundry room during the day besides their beds -- he'll chew if he gets a chance. He moved all of the shoes onto the laundry room bed one day. Typical pup/lab.
Sam adores playing with Frank. He lays on him, messes with his ears, turns him over; Frank just takes it all!
Gracie doesn't like him much. All this time, I was looking for a buddy for her, but I have to admit that I brought home Frank for "me". Sorry, Gracie! He leaves her alone, and hangs with us.
Thanks for all of your help with getting to know Frank,
Natalie
Franz
Hello Eve and Virginia. Just wanted to let you know that Franz is doing great. We renamed him Buddy. He likes chew bones and rope toys. He chewed up all of Bindi's bones by Friday and we had to go get more and now those are almost gone. He eats all of his breakfast and dinner in a matter of seconds so he must like the food we have. He learned to sit and wait patiently for his food and snacks (he is a quick learner). He loves the backyard. You guys had trouble getting him to go out and we have trouble getting him to come in. I think it is because he discovered Bindi's basketball and we told him he couldn't bring it inside so he stays outside to play with it (also the weather has been nice). Bindi and him like to play chase. He likes Toby, the neighbor dog too. He's perfect!

Farley
Hi Tracey, Sorry we did not get back to you sooner. We made it home just fine, but did run into snow the closer we got to Niles. Farley traveled great...no accidents. So, Farley has experienced his first taste of snow (4 inches to be exact.) He wimpers a little when we put him in his crate at night, but settles down quickly. So far, knock on wood, he has not had any accidents in the house. He is settling in quite nicely to his new surroundings. He still has kennel cough, but does not seem to be a major issue. We plan on taking him to the vet next week. We will keep you informed on his progress. He is a great little guy, enjoys going out to the workshop with Mark. We will send you some pictures after Thanksgiving. Thanks again for everything and keep up the good work.
Fargo
Tracy,
Far is doing great, we've been to the dog park and he loves it. No issues with any of the dogs he's met, walks on his lead like he's known how to all his life, has learned how to sit and stay with hand signals, not interested in his crate right now but we'll keep trying... He's a bed hog!!! and will fetch at home but not at the park... go figure? Eats like a pig but doesn't trail water all over the floor... he's a good boy. Will send pics when soon, camera is goofy right now.
