Going to Animal Control is not for the faint of heart, but our intrepid secretary braved the horrors last week to pick up a dog for another rescue group. While waiting in the lobby, she saw a little Puggle being led down the hallway and noticed how happy he seemed - his tail was wagging and he was just prancing along, apparently thrilled to be out of his cage at last. What he did not know was that he was on his way to the kill room. Although very much aware that our group is full beyond capacity, she simply could not help herself and took the litte guy.

We squeezed Franz into a foster home where he is now playing with the other dogs and romping with the cats as if he had never been anywhere else. Franz is 9 months old and weighs around 20 pounds. He is a funny little boy, mischievous and energetic, but loving and very affectionate. After just a few days, we can cautiously say that he is housebroken, but he needs to be let out often to really get the hang of it. However, is quite a smart dog and listens very well - he already understands that snacking on cat food is a big no-no. Franz is an all around adorable, sweet and loving little man and will bring a lot of joy to the family who adopts him.
