Sparky

Hi all, Just want to update you all on the boys as they go through their adjustment into their forever home. Sparky is doing much better. He is still pretty shy but he has started coming out and around more. I am sure he is going to be just fine. He is playing some but still hides when someone new walks into the room he is in. It doesn't take too long before he re-emerges. Food seems to be a great motivator for him! He even sat on the sofa with Elaine and Oliver earlier today and purred while he held Oliver's hands. Oliver just loves everybody and everything. He still seems a little too excited and curious to eat much but he is eating some. I am sure that is going to change soon. Everybody is getting along and last night Oliver laid on the couch on top of Gabe then next to Gabe. We are truly enjoying all of the laughs and smiles they have brought into the home. Thanks again, Suzan and Elaine

Siri

Siri has navigated herself into a forever home that includes two little girls to love on and an older Dachshund to win over!

Schnicka

We have had Conway (previously Schnika) for two months now, and what a two months it has been. We thought we lived an active lifestyle before, but now we are outside moving all the time! Conway loves running in the park and chasing squirrels and birds. If we go out as the sun is going down he loves to chase lightning bugs and moths. He caught a moth the other day and didn't know quite what to do next. His eyes got really big before he let it go. He wanted to keep playing, but that moth got out of there pretty quick! He loves chewing just about anything, sticks are his absolutely favorite, luckily there is an infinite supply in our back yard. He also loves to eat. We've had to come up with creative ways to get him to slow down and actually chew, because food is just SO exciting! His love of eating though makes it so easy for training. He will do just about anything for a treat. He's learned sit, shake, lay down, roll over, kiss, heel, touch, and we are making major headway with stay. He has also learned when we say boop to touch whatever we are pointing at with his nose. Conway has not met a stranger. He loves people and always wants to see what's going on. He's still timid around other dogs, especially big ones, but we are having a fun time getting acquainted with all sorts. He loves to chase after them and is learning how to play nicely with other dogs. Thanks for all that you guys do, we couldn't be happier and Conway is a perfect fit! Kelsey, Jon, and Conway

Suki

Suki has been in our home almost an entire month and we love him so much. He adjusted very quickly and was very unwilling to stay locked in the bedroom for more than a day before we had to let him out. It was pretty smooth sailing aside from the 5am wake up calls, but we're adjusting! The dog we had already is still not entirely sure the cat is "safe", but they frequently find common ground in watching birds and squirrels out the front and back doors together. Suki, we have found out, loves trying to steal drinks from glasses of water, even if he has just received fresh water in his bowl. He also turns every hair tie into a prize that he happily carries around in his mouth. It took me a little while to figure out why he was attacking my night stand every night until I realized he was going after the hair ties I was leaving there! Not to mention when I have one on my wrist! He also enjoys prowling around the basement, searching for bugs and headbutting you in the face or licking you in appreciation for the petting or the kitty treats he's getting. He sweet, wild and a lot of fun. Although, I'm not sure what makes my heart melt more, his meowing when he is looking for me or my fiance, or how he sleeps right between our heads at night, purring away (and sometimes licking or pawing you until you wake up)! My fiance, who is a self proclaimed dog person, has started calling Suki "his" cat. Thank you so much for letting us bring him home!! We already cannot imagine life without him!!

Samoa

Our little lady is doing wonderful! She's a momma's girl and goes wherever I am. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to give her a good home! Leslie
