Livy
Livy(now Miley) is doing wonderful. She is a sweet, gentle dog. She is the most gentle and loving dog around all our grand children, they can hug and kiss on all they want. She likes to be in the middle of the group when they are playing inside and out. Our whole family is in love with her. She has become leader of the pack to our two males. They love her. They let her eat first, nip and chew on them when playing and they let her sleep in our bed with cat and us at night. She has become quite the guard dog, barking at strangers and trash blowing across the lawn. She is working her way through her chewing period. She has chewed up 3 pairs of my flip flops , a pair of Dad’s stinky shoes and a couple of Smurfs! She likes to take things off the counters and tables (loves cookies), so we are working very hard to correct this habit. Otherwise, she minds very well. She is growing up to be a beautiful dog. We love her dearly and would not trade her for anything. We are so glad that we adopted her.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to adopt her.

Liberty
Hi Sherrie! I hope this email finds you doing well. We are having a great summer, and Bailey (Liberty) has been along for the ride with all of our activities. My mother-in-law has a house at the Lake of the Ozarks, and we have discovered that Bailey really enjoys being a lake dog! She has made such a smooth transition into our household, and we are so thankful for her! Here are a few pics.
Lexy
Hey Sherrie,
After I adopted Lexie I changed her name. I wanted something that fit her wonderful personality and, especially after everything she had been through before I was lucky enough to get to her, I decided that she needed a name that reflected her resilience and all-loving attitude. I named her Alisa. It's Hebrew for great happiness and it fits her perfectly. Since adopting Alisa she has gotten spoiled. She spends several evenings each week at the off-leash dog park. She stays close and seems to know what I'm thinking without me having to say. Some might say she's too smart for her own good. She has also developed an odd fondness for an old couch pillow I have. She sleeps on it and even pushes it on the floor to keep it with her. She's made a lot of friends as well. She started to get spoiled pretty quickly- my friends (both four legged and two legged) have wanted to visit her daily. She does have one quirk- her bedtime is 9:30 sharp. If I try to get her to come to the bedroom to sleep on her bed after that, she promptly ignores me in favor of her couch pillow.
Thanks to TARA for finding her and helping her get to me. She has been a blessing in my life and has really helped me feel at home in my own house.
Lex
Tracey,
Thank you for checking in on "L" puppy! Her name is now Freya and she is doing very well. She is growing like a weed and is aaaallllll puppy. : ) I have taken her to the vet twice; once for a check up where they listened to her heart, and again when she recieved more of her vaccinations. The vet said she didn't detect any murmur at all! I will have to send you a picture of her, but I appreciate everything you and her foster mom did for her. She is such a lover and snuggle bug.

Lemon
Tracey,
Thanks again for helping us with the adoption of Lemmon, (now Maple). She is a great dog and we are thrilled to have her. She was checked by a vet and their intern and neither one found any heart murmur. She's completed her 4th puppy training class and has some fears and socialization problems, but is very smart and is learning quickly. Joan took her morel mushroom hunting for a few days and wore her out, but she loved being in the woods. Also, our daughter works for a vet and for a discounted rate they are doing a DNA check. They said it will give us all the breeds that are in her which we are curious about, we'll let you know when we get that.
Thanks again for helping us, we are very thankful to have her in our family and love her a lot,
Thanks,
Scott and Joan
