Ebony and her sons (Coal and Jet) came into our program when we were contacted by homeowners who moved into their new home on the property that these cats had made THEIR home.

Ebony had been a stray in the neighborhood that no one wanted to take responsiblity for and therefore had at least 2 litters (Coal is 1 yr old and Jet is a kitten) so thankfully she is now spayed and no longer contributing to the pet overpopulation.

 She LOVES being petted and held but does NOT like dogs....I'm sure she had to defend herself and her little ones many times against them while she was outdoors. Although she is currently cohabitating with her son and another cat in her foster home, she has no desire to bond with them and prefers human companionship over animal companionship. Hopefully she will be in her forever home soon to get the love and attention she deserves.

Adoption Fee: $85

This cat is currently at the 95th & Quivira Petco store. To meet her out of the cage, please make an appointment with the contact person listed above.

TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip, FeLV/FIV Combo test, flea prevention and deworming. A two-week trial is included as part of the adoption.

Because we do not know the background of many of our cats we cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 2-7 pounds, Med 8-13 pounds, Large 14-19 pounds, Extra Large over 20 pounds.
