Hi, my name is Reece. Wow, did I get off to a rough start! I was found this winter in a city park. It was cold and I was really, really skinny. Even though I’m only about eight months old, I had already been dumped by my family AND hit by a car. Can you believe that? One of my back legs was so busted up it had to be amputated.

But all that drama is behind me now, and I don’t waste time feeling sorry for myself. I get around just fine, thank you very much, and I LOVE to play fetch-the-ball and tug-of-war. My favorite thing is to play and wrestle around with other dogs! In the evenings, I would be so happy to curl up next to you or sit on your lap and fall to sleep. I know I look a little different from most dogs. I’ve got three legs and one blue eye! I just hope there’s somebody out there with a big enough heart to see that I’m perfect just the way I am.

Adoption Fee: $150

TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test and prevention (if age appropriate), flea prevention and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a two week trial.

Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.
