Tunes for TARA

The Painkillers are a local KC cover band covering well known music from the 60’s through the 90’s. Playing together since 2019 the band features songs you’ll recognize and a few that are rarely covered. The band consist of 6 members with a rich history of music. Lead vocals are covered by siblings Tim and Sally originally from Blue Springs, MO. Sally began her singing career by winning an episode on STAR SEARCH. Relocating to New York City Sally went on to become an EPIC Records recording artist and has sung backup for well-known artists such as Daryl Hall, ENYA, Sister Sledge, Debbie Gibson. She also wrote a song that was featured in the Dirty Dancing sequel Let It Be Me. Tim’s soulful vocals and rhythm guitar round out the lead duo on stage. On bass guitar and vocals Matt leads the rhythm section and has played with various bands around Austin and Kansas City. Gary on lead guitar and vocals comes from Orange County, CA and has a long list of musical endeavors on the west coast. Billy on rhythm guitar has been in the local KC music scene since 1984 playing for various bands around town. Mike on drums rounds out the group and has played for various bands in Lincoln, NE and the KC area.
