Animal Success Stories
Lisa Marie
Hi Virginia!
Feel terrible that I haven't gotten those pics and videos sent to you yet. It has been a crazy, busy time for us, and honestly, any down time is spent with kids and dogs.. I promise I will get them to you eventually!
Just to update you, we absolutely adore Maggie. She is doing really well. We've had no more potty accidents, and she is adjusting and fitting in well. We have a bit of an attitude with our neighbor of a different ethnicity, but we (and he- what a great guy) are working with her on that. She's been a pretty good girl so far- with one small exception: She gave us a scare yesterday! She and Chalmy were wrestling and making so much noise (all the bling rattling on her new collar) that our son took it off so he could hear the TV. When we let the dogs out for their final potty of the evening, Maggs got away before we could get her collared/ leashed up. We weren't too panicked, because she has never even been interested in getting farther than line-of-sight. We think maybe the storm scared her, though (we are a bit of a princess/ diva about rain and thunder), and she bolted out into the night. Thankfully, a boxer-lover a few streets away took her in and had her scanned at the humane society the next morning, and we had her back by lunch! WHEW! It was a scary way for us to learn a lesson about the importance of collars & id tags, and the dangers of open doors & storms, but I feel like we did, and it shouldn't happen again. She was such a happy girl to see Daddy and Chalmy when they picked her up!
Needless to say, we have all grown attached to our new little girl, and want to thank you for introducing us. I will continue to keep you posted on her progress.. Sorry it's been so long since my last update! Talk to you soon..
Janet
