Animal Success Stories
Lexy
Hey Sherrie,
After I adopted Lexie I changed her name. I wanted something that fit her wonderful personality and, especially after everything she had been through before I was lucky enough to get to her, I decided that she needed a name that reflected her resilience and all-loving attitude. I named her Alisa. It's Hebrew for great happiness and it fits her perfectly. Since adopting Alisa she has gotten spoiled. She spends several evenings each week at the off-leash dog park. She stays close and seems to know what I'm thinking without me having to say. Some might say she's too smart for her own good. She has also developed an odd fondness for an old couch pillow I have. She sleeps on it and even pushes it on the floor to keep it with her. She's made a lot of friends as well. She started to get spoiled pretty quickly- my friends (both four legged and two legged) have wanted to visit her daily. She does have one quirk- her bedtime is 9:30 sharp. If I try to get her to come to the bedroom to sleep on her bed after that, she promptly ignores me in favor of her couch pillow.
Thanks to TARA for finding her and helping her get to me. She has been a blessing in my life and has really helped me feel at home in my own house.
