Jetta Jane

Hi Tracey-- Thought I'd check in real quick and let you know how Jetta's doing. We couldn't be more in love with her! She's exactly what I was looking for in a dog. She is having a slight problem with one of the two cats, but it's more that he doesn't know she's trying to play with him. She's responding very well to distraction and not bothering him TOO much! She's so gentle with Everleigh and tolerates her very well. I think they're going to be best friends. I've included one of my favorite pictures of the two of them, both sitting at my feet begging me to share my Froot Loops. Her description definitely called it right when it was mentioned that she would be a great running buddy! I don't take her out too long in the heat, but she can go about half a mile before we need to turn back. She stays right by my side and doesn't have any problems keeping up with me at all! She's doing very well in the house and hasn't had a single "accident". She does LOVE to chase squirrels in the back yard, but never tries to jump the fence to go after them. We had one small incident where she ran out the garage door while we were unloading a big piece of equipment (ironically, a baby gate for the stairs!), but we were able to catch her before she got too far away, and now we make sure the garage door is down before we open the door that leads into the house, and that seems to have solved the problem nicely. I can't tell you enough how much we appreciate the hard work and dedication you and the rest of the TARA team have shown.
