Animal Success Stories
Baci
Hi, Sherrie!
Baci and Brady are doing great! The first night was awful--no sleep for any of us. Baci whined all night. But she has since caught on to our routine. Brady's poop has firmed up and he's doing fine. We are still giving him his meds.
Baci and Brady are wonderful. Very smart and obedient. They are already sitting and staying on command. They do not like the idea of the leash though. When the leashes go on, they put on the brakes and will not move. It's so funny.
I think this is a perfect fit. The puppies are happy, the kids are happy. And Peter and I are happy because the kids are doing all the work (although friends and family tell us this will wear off soon).
Baci and Brady have the run of the sun porch and our backyard all day (with the kids). The kids have no intentions of leaving Baci and Brady unattended. Around 8:30 or 9, after one last romp outside, we kennel them together and bring them into the family room for the night (where the kids have been camping out with them). Then they get let outside at 6:30 am and start another day of hanging out with the kids.
We haven't had many accidents--maybe two (pee only). They have picked up very quickly on pottying outside. And the kids are great about picking up the poop as soon as it occurs (I am very happy about that).
So, all is well. Here are some pictures from the first day.
As far as our availability for Brady getting picked up, Peter's schedule is very flexible. Just give us a day or two notice and it should be no problem.
Thanks.
