Animal Success Stories
Blondie
Virginia,
We are going on 10 months since I brought Bella home and wanted to give you a quick update.
After a bit of a bumpy start, she is doing well. In the first few months her anxiety and aggression with other dogs was tough. She ate my woodwork, entertainment center, couch AND my bed! This is when I was home and often just if I stepped out of the room. She also lunged and snarled at every dog she saw.
Putting her on anxiety meds was a game changer and helped tremendously! We also did private aggression lessons with a trainer at Wayside Waifs which helped both Bella and I better handle interactions with other dogs. She has even made a doggie friend where we live!
All of the challenges have been worth it! She is the most sweet, loving dog and can never get enough love. Wherever I am, she is as close as she can get next to me and immediately rolls on her back for belly rubs from any human she meets. And after 10 months, she will FINALLY use the elevator (we live on the 4th floor)!
Bella is my first rescue dog and she has required time, attention and A LOT of patience - LOL! She has added so much to my life and I am thankful that Taras Hope was there to rescue her more than once! Thank you all for what you do
Keri & Bella
