Troy
He's fitting in super well! Dug and him are the best of friends! Coco is being a little snobbish, but she took about a week with Dug before she really took to him. No fights or anything, so I'd say he's doing extremely well!
Tina
We are so enjoying having Tina and Gene! Thank you for working with us on adopting them! They are so sweet, cuddly, fun and good with both Lola (our dog) and Jasmine (our cat)! Iâm attaching some pictures in this and a couple e-mails to follow.
Tina
We have renamed our perfect little girl to Lucy. I could go on and on, she is the perfect dog and fits right in with our little family. She and our maltese are best friends. Its hard to admit it, but Lucy loves my husband the best. lol She is completely house trained, never has had an accident. Thank you so much for allowing us to adopt her, we couldnt be happier.
Tobin
I wanted to take a moment to share how much Ben and I enjoy Tobin, and how happy we are that he's a part of our family now. It's been five months since we picked him up, and he has changed a lot. If it weren't for TARA, and the volunteers and foster families, Tobin's story might have turned out so different. For that, we are grateful; that your group and team go the extra mile to rescue future best friends for people, and set up great forever-homes for animals that deserve it.
As you (might) remember, Tobin had a couple days of nerves and fears when we first brought him home. After being bit, and having anxious encounters, we chose to give him the extra time and attention he needed. We just knew that he wasn't "a mean dog" - and we thought that it might take him a long time to get adjusted. So, we made a plan to help Tobin adjust - give him a schedule. After figuring one out, we stuck to it, and Tobin is almost like a completely different dog!
We did throw a small wrench in his adjustment phase, however, when we decided to purchase a house in July. But, I think Tobin knew why... he now has a big fenced in backyard. Tobin hardly seemed to notice the change of location, and smells!, and we all have been really enjoying the new house. I will admit that he did get spoiled a little while we were furnishing the new house... he got his very own sofa! He loves to chew Nylabones and nap in it. (Oh my gosh it is just too cute sometimes!)
Again, I want to say thank you. Thank you Catherine, for being our support from TARA. Thank you Annette, for giving Tobin a good home before we found him. And thank you Renee, for being a volunteer and giving your time to help make adoptions like this happen. Thank you! We love Tobin and look forward to spending a long time with him.
Katey & Ben McSpadden
P.S. Tobin had his first weekend trip to Wichita last weekend, tagging along as we went to spend time with Ben's grandparents. He was an angel in the car and everyone said what a sweet dog he was. It is both impressive and encouraging to see Tobin's personality shine and grow. Hopefully we'll have an opportunity soon to add another dog into our life, and Tobin can learn to share the backyard!
Toulouse
Just wanted to let you know the kitties are settling in well :) I attached a picture in case you want to see. Our older cat Boo has adopted them as little brothers and has been playing a lot more now.
We love them and they fit in perfectly at our house!
