Ethan
Ethan

Hi Sherrie, I thought I would drop a quick email to let you know Ethan is getting along fantastically! He is really a wonderful dog -- Doug and I just adore him aleady. Maddie is getting along quite well with him. She is still a little unsure, but they have played a little in yard (just today); chasing each other around in circles. I think that relationship will get better and better every day. She's a little jealous but that is to be expected and we are paying a lot of attention to her to reassure her. Ethan hasn't had one accident so far. Of course, one of us has been home with him at all times and we have taken him out regularly. He will go "potty" when we tell him to -- even if he doesn't have much potty in him. He gets lots and lots of praise, which he really responds to very well. We took him to the vet today and got his check-up. She went ahead and gave him a booster -- distemper, I think, I can't remember, but I have it written down. She scanned him for his microchip and found it with no problem. She checked his joints and said he seems good. Surprisingly she said she didn't think he would get much taller if he is almost 7 months. She said he will fill out, but doesn't expect a lot more height. That is fine with us -- whatever size he turns out will be just dandy. One of my coworkers came over today and Ethan was great with him; friendly and affectionate. That is just what we need because Maddie is the watchdog and one of those is plenty. I think we will have to change his name because of friend mine has a young son named Ethan. So we are looking at names now and will probably have a new one in a couple of days. I'll let you know. Thank you so much for helping us connect with Ethan. He is just the greatest dog! Melinda

Eve
Eve

Hi! Oddly enough I was just talking about emailing you with an update, but I wanted to get Eve's weight before I did, which I haven't yet. I'm going to guess that she now weighs 8 or so pounds, maybe more. Her face is positively round now, and she has a normal bit of a pooch to her belly I'm glad to say. She adjusted wonderfully to living with us, and even interacts with my daughter as long as she remains calm and doesn't go chasing after Eve. I had friends over yesterday and Eve got into both of their laps on her own, and even begged their 4 month old little boy to pet her. She's very good at that, begging that is. :) She greets us at the door when we come home, and will come to her name even if we've interrupted one of her naps. She gets wet food and two or three little treats on Saturday, but the rest of the week she gets dry food, which she imperiously demands be replenished daily, no matter how little she ate the day before. Really, she's the sweetest cat either of us have ever seen, and one of the smartest also. We're very happy that she decided Marshall was the one for her down there in your basement. - Teigan
