Chuy
Hello ladies,
It has been a long time since I updated you all on Chuy. I have attached a couple of pictures so you can see how big he has gotten. I would just like to say, that whomever named him did a perfect job!! He has his mouth on Everything!! As soon as something hits the floor, it is in his mouth. I have had my hands down this dogs throat more times than I could ever count!! We have had to have him xrayed three times because he can't keep things out of his mouth. I will have to say he is minding a little better with age. He has escaped out the front door twice and ran into the woods behind our house. He finds that playing keep away is a great source of fun for him - with himself being the keep away toy. Haha. We run one way, he goes the other, etc. But in all of his ornriness, he provides us with much laughter and fun. We have many "Chuy" stories to tell our friends and each other. He has become very protective over his family, must be the sheppard in him. He loves to ride in the car now, actually thinks he's king stink when he rides in the front seat. He is loving and definitly full of life. We want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and hope that you have heard about his brothers and sisters. We will update you again.
Happy Holidays!!
Karrie & Michael Brown & most importantly...Chuy

Cherry Blossom
Hello Virginia!
I am doing great at my new forever home! My new family really likes me and treat me like royalty. They let me lay on the couch anytime I want and take naps and just chill out. I sleep with Sam at night in his room. He has a big bed and doesn't mind sharing it with me.
Today I went for a long car ride to PetSmart and everyone there fell in love with me. My new mommy bought me a harness for walks (I went on two today) and a new toy called a Kong Wubbie! My new back yard is great. It has a fence and they let me stay out as long as I want. There is a really nice part where I like to lay in the sun and take a nap. (I've had my new daddy attach a picture for you). When I'm in the backyard I like to point at the squirrels and birds. I crouch down in the grass so they can't see me and stare at them for a long, long time until they run around the other side of the tree. How exciting and fun!
I've met my new neighbors and they all like me. Dorothy across the street thinks I'm really sweet and Jenny and her two grand daughters let me give them lots of kisses and I let them pet me. They weren't scared of me at all because I am so calm. My mom said I did great meeting new people and gave me a rawhide to chew, which I loved! I like to save them and I have them hidden all over the house. I have one in the laundry basket, another under the pillow on the Big Bed and even hid one in a shopping bag. Shhh.......don't tell!
Well its time for me to take another nap so I better end my letter. Please thank all my friends at T.A.R.A who rescued me and took such wonderful care of me and my puppies and helped me find my new forever family.

Clarence
Clarence, now called Eli, waited patiently for a very long time to find his forever home. But now that he did, it seems all that waiting paid off & he's doing wonderfully in his new home! His new dad sent us this update: "He is fine. Eileen has decided to call him Eli because she said Clarence reminded her of Clarence Thomas who she is not a fan of, and wanted an "E" name to commemorate the previous dog Erik.
He knows his new name. He sleeps on the bed with us and will let me sit next to him on the couch. Previously he would not go on walks with me unless Eileen went too. When I took his leash he laid flat on the sidewalk. Yesterday we took Laila and Eli and he let me hold his leash on the walk but did not want to go for a ride in my car without Eileen. He likes going in the car with Eileen. So he's getting better about me but likes Eileen better so far. He really like a friend of Eileen's and jumps on her lap when she visits.
He would not take the heartworm pill even when we tried various enticements of cream cheese, peanut butter etc and it was getting slimy and disintegrating so I gave him a Heartguard chewable crumbled up and sprinkled on his food instead and he ate that so I guess that will be his brand for now until we run out of them.
Laila is mostly nice to him but if she gets upstairs to bed first she tries to intimidate him from coming in the room but he is faster than her so usually he beats her upstairs.
He has not destroyed anything at the house and likes the dog door. He has hunted rabbits in the yard but has not got any yet."
