Cheyenne
Hi! Thought you would like an update on our "children." If you could share this with the cat group, I would really appreciate it. We adopted Twire in March and it's been a slow process, but she has decided she likes us and will put up with us. She immediately bonded with our 3 other boys, but she has been pretty skittish of the human family. She roams the house and has made the dining room table one of her favorite perches. She loves to play with toys and has claimed the top bunk in the kitty condo. She will now rub our legs and let us scratch her head when "she" wants......she does hop on my bed and let me pet her, but no lap time for her yet. I'm sure it will come, but it's all about her and her comfort level. We adopted Cheyene in May and she is the star of the neighborhood! She has claimed all squirrels and rabbits fair game. For a dog of 8 she has lots of spunk, personality, and old fashion ingenuity. That was proudly displayed after she manipulated the neighbors gate and was found running the neighborhood. Thank goodness for a good Samaritan and her implanted chip. She was only out and about for less than 30 mins. She is a great watch dog and loves all the grandkids. As you can see she was comforting a pouting 8 year old! Both of these four legged people have settled in and we are loving them full heartedly. It was hard losing our Olivia and Kiki so close together, but adopting soon was a good thing for us. Thanks again for your great mininstry! Carolyne and Carol
Crosby
I was going to e-mail over the weekend but it was a bit crazy.
He is doing really well.
He loves the kids and dealing with the cat.
He was pretty scared when he came in the house. He would only go in the front of the living room and the dining room.
He finally started to explore. He watch a movies with the kids and I yesterday. Totally wanting to cuddle.
He is very uncertain about the kitchen. I finally was able to get him to eat in the breakfast room, instead of the living room.
I think that is pretty quick progress.
He went to Petsmart yesterday. Was a bit worried but once he saw other dogs he was great!
We also were able to give him a bath. Rhys and I were shocked at how good he did.
He has had lots of walks, hug and kisses.
Col
Col went to his forever home today and has a wonderful new mom who will provide him with a GREAT home! He'll be visiting doggy daycare frequently and will play with another T.A.R.A. Alumni that was adopted by his mom's best friend!
Cooper
Hi Virginia,
Cooper is working out very well. We are enjoying having him with us. He is such a lover boy alot like our Snooper. He and Millie seem to be getting along very well.
Cooper has come to us at the right time and has been very healing for all of us.
Thank You for all your help!
We will be staying in touch,
Shelly
Carmelette
Hi
My same is SugarBear, I used to be known as Carmelette, but now I'm
SugarBear. I'm a really happy pup, my best friend is Sanka, she's a
Bernese Mountain Dog and I can pester her constantly and she won't get
mad. My other friends are Sarge and Josie, Boxers, they aren't so
forgiving, but I can make them play most of the time. I have a great
time chasing frogs in the lake, but then I have to have a bath, Yuck!
The 2 cats, Osama and Little Kitty, don't like me much and scratch my
nose when I get too close, mostly they just ignore me, but that's really
hard to do. Anyway, I thought I would let you know how well I'm doing.
Thanks for rescuing me !
SugarBear, Blair
