Priscilla is a classy lady!  She is so cooperative and likes to keep her litter box area clean and not track kitty litter.  Just place a piece of newspaper outside her litter box so she can gently scratch on it and drop kitty litter off her feet.  She is quite vocal and it's easy to understand her basic wants and desires.  She is intelligent enough to understand much of what she is told or asked to do.  She is gentle and cooperative, usually doing what is asked, even if it isn't what she wants, but she will let you know about the later!  She is shy at first, but loves petting and after getting acquainted with her, she loves belly rubs.  

Priscilla was rescued by a wonderful woman after being abandoned in her neighborhood after her former human was hospitalized.  She is very afraid of other cats and will need to be the only cat in her forever home.    She has not had much experience with dogs or young children.  She enjoys both dry and wet food and prefers to drink from a cat fountain.  The fountain can go with her to her new home!

Priscilla is still learning to appropriately scratch specific surfaces, such as vertical cat scratch posts and horizontal cat scratch pads.  She seems to prefer the latter...carpet scraps work well for this, if held down by a piece of heavy furniture.  She sometimes has to be reminded to not scratch on the rug or carpet, but she is learning and she doesn't scratch hard.  Gentle redirection is all it takes for her to stop this pursuit.  She is a classy lady and a wonderful loving pet!  You will be happy you picked her...she is a fantastic cat!

To meet this cat outside of the cage, you may need to make an appointment with the caregiver listed above.  This cat is currently at the Petsmart in the Ward Parkway Shopping Center. 

TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip, FeLV/FIV Combo test, flea prevention and deworming. A two-week trial is included as part of the adoption.

Because we do not know the background of many of our cats, we cannot always guarantee age or breed. Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 2-7 pounds, Med 8-13 pounds, Large 14-19 pounds, Extra Large over 20 pounds.
