It is a true twist of fate that this girl is still alive. She was on death row at Animal Control when we got a call asking about a lost dog that fit her description, so we pulled her on what would have been her last day. Sadly, she was not the dog the people were looking for, but what an amazing stroke of luck for Marnie.

She is about one and a half years old and weighs less than 40 pounds - she is still extremely underweight. Marnie is now being fostered in a home with quite a few dogs and cats and she gets along wonderfully with all of them. Not only is she an absolute sweetheart, she is the first dog to have come into this home who was immediately accepted and loved by all dogs and cats alike. And if we believe that animals are excellent judges of character, this speaks very highly of her indeed. Just getting to know her serves as a grim reminder of all the loving and sweet-natured dogs that are euthanized every day through no fault of their own.

Because of her calm, loving nature and even temperament, this little girl will fit in with just about any family situation - children, other dogs and cats, people old, young and in between. All she wants is a permanent home and lots of love.
