Farley came to Liberty Animal Shelter when he was found running at large within the city limits on 02/07/2016. He is believed to be approximately 18-24 months of age and appears to be a cattle dog /border collie/ Akita mix. He has went into foster care with TARA and is a very loving and playful boy! Here is what his foster mom has to say about this cutie:

" Farley is a very fun dog with lots of personality. He has a lot of energy, so he would need an active owner. He does not necessarily need a fenced in backyard, as long as he finds someone who will take him on walks/runs or to the dog park. He would love a canine sibling to help burn off some of his energy, but he would be fine by himself, as long as he got the exercise, play and attention he loves and deserves. He really just loves to romp and frolic. Although he is a jumper, he is very gentle- he doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He gets along with cats, somewhat, but does like to chase them, he loves belly rubs, he is crate trained and house trained. Due to him liking to play a little "rough and tumble" at times, a home with children over 6 is recommended and sought.

TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a  two week trial  .

Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.
