Zack came to TARA due to a change in his owner's living situation. He's a tall, lanky boy with a broad chest and a big, expressive face. He is currently living in a foster home with a bossy lab mix and two dachshunds. He loves playing with toys, but they have to be tough ones! He also enjoys playing with his obnoxious little foster brother, the younger dachshund, and is quite patient and careful with him. When he's not playing he is happy to spend time just chilling out in his dog bed or - his preference - next to you on the couch.

For a big guy Zack is a good house guest. He doesn't engage in any destructive behavior when left alone and typically doesn't get into things he shouldn't. (Although he does have a weakness for used tissues, which he thinks are quite a treat.) He's good about not jumping up on people and knows how to sit and shake. He's also quite talkative; he'll let you know when he needs to go out, when he's ready to come in, and when he thinks something unfair is happening. (When the little dog has stolen his bed, for example.)

This big goofball is ready to find his forever home and he'll steal your heart if you just give him the chance!

Approximate Birthdate:  01/11/2011

Adoption Fee: $150.00

TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a  two week trial  .

Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.
