Ranger is an intact male Australian Shepherd who was originally found as a stray but surrendered to our shelter when the person who found him didn't have any luck finding his owner. Unfortunately the person who found him could no longer hold on to him so she brought him to us. He has been given a canine distemper and bordetella vaccine and a simple dewormer. His heartworm status is unknown at this time. Ranger is such a sweet boy who is full of love and energy. He's so excited to see the staff once he's let out of his kennel. Since he does have quiet a lot of energy he would do best with an owner who has time to work with him. The person who brought him in did say he knows how to escape off of a tie out. He escaped twice while in the backyard so he would need to be monitored when outside. We were told he does well with dogs and children but his behavior with cats is unknown. That information can be provided upon request.
Ranger will have an adoption fee of $80 which will cover his neuter and vaccinations given here at the shelter along with the dewormer. It does NOT cover the cost of his heartworm test or rabies vaccines. These additional fees are paid for by the adopter at time of pickup from the vet clinic. If you are interested in meeting Ranger stop by the shelter during our business hours.
