Poor Stellaluna! She arrived at the Liberty Animal Shelter when the person who found her decided they could no longer keep her. Stella showed up at their doorstep on July 5th, afraid of the fireworks, and the family took her in. They attempted to locate her owner using Craigslist, but after two and a half weeks, they kept her as long as they could.

Stellaluna is a "seasoned" lady, possibly 6-7 years. That doesn't mean she is old at all. She is a delightful doggie to be around. She appears to most likely be a mix of Aussie Shep and husky. She has proven to be a great, well-rounded sweet girl that loves to be with other dogs, cats and people, as she has proven time again in boarding and in her current foster home. Stellaluna would love a home where someone is there to spend time with her as she doesn't love being alone.  Contact us today to make this pretty girl a part of your family!

Adoption Fee:$150

TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a two week trial.

Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed. Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.
