Perrito, or Perry for short, is looking for a wonderful loving home after a very rough start.  His former owner thought he should just be instantly potty trained (he's only roughly 5 months old and 7 lbs :) , with no work on their part at all.  Meanwhile, this little sweetheart has made HUGE strides in the short time he has been with his temporary foster mom and after 2 or 3 accidents, he is making his way to the door!  Perry loves to play with his foster siblings and would be a wonderful addition to a home that is willing to work with him on basic training, with patience and love!

Perrito must go to a home with another dog that can mentor him – he has shown signs of separation anxiety and overly bonding with a person unless he has another dog to follow around.  Being only 5 months he will grow out of this with some patience and training.  He is well adjusted in his foster home – he whines at the door when he is put outside after work – but…after a minute he’s running around the yard with his foster brother and is fine.  He is playing with stuffed toys and loves to wrestle with his foster brother.   He will need to learn some good manners with other dogs and more work on potty training.  He is crate trained – again – he carries on when his foster mom leaves for work but is fine at the end of the day.  He will not do well in an apartment as there is a likelihood that he barks a while before settling in his crate for the day.
