     You probably have never met a perfect combination of sweet and sass as you will with Nala Marie! She only has three limbs due to a past neglectful situation, but that doesn't damper her spirit or her zest for life. Special consideration will need to be taken in adopting this girl. Sometimes she wants to be on the go so much that she does not realize her own limitations. With her body still growing and her muscles still developing, she sometimes needs to be made to take a rest...after all, she's just a puppy and does not yet understand what the word "slow down " means. She loves chewing on chew bones and playing with toys. Her ultimate love for downtime is cuddling...and she is one of the best cuddlers out there. Other considerations to take is that she will not be a running partner or be able to hike tough terrain. She will also greatly benefit from joint supplements to be started in six months (or following a new vets recommendation) and will need to be on it for the rest of her life. Due to her arm injury, amputation, and soreness in her remaining arm as her body gets used to life on three limbs, Nala Marie has been on cage rest for a good majority of her young life. At this time, she is very vocal in her kennel. This is definitely a behavior that could be changed with positive training, but at this time she would not make a good apartment/townhome resident as she stays vocal if she hears someone is home.
     If you are looking for a dog that makes you smile all the time and one that shows you just enough sassiness to keep you laughing then Nala Marie is your girl!

Adoption Fee: $150

TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a  two week trial .

Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.
