Amy was rescued from a local shelter where she was left tied to their door overnight. We do not understand why anyone would do such a thing! But TARA has placed her in a foster home where she is bonding with her foster mom and learning to socialize with other dogs. Amy is house trained and crate trained. She wants nothing more than to sit on your lap and get belly rubs. She loves to go for walks and would benefit from getting some exercise and taking off a few pounds. Amy would do best in a home with no small children. IF there are other dogs in the home, introductions will need to be made slowly. She has done ok with the senior dogs in her foster home but interacting with more active dogs will be a process for Amy – but with time and proper supervision, she will settle in.
Amy is a Jack Russell Terrier mix, and a seasoned 6-8 years old. Please apply today to meet her in the near future! She deserves forever happiness and never to be dumped again!

TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming. TARA's pets are all eligible for a two week trial .
