Quinn is a walking testament to just how much a little love can do. When we saw him cowering in his cage at Animal Control where he was only hours away from being euthanized, he was terrified and depressed. Of course, we had to save him and after only a few days at our boarding facility, he turned into a completely different dog; it was truly an amazing transformation. He adores other dogs and loves to romp and play, but he is also very fond of people and bonds quickly. One of our volunteers took him home for a weekend and he was simply wonderful in the house, playing with all the dogs and antagonizing any of the cats who would let him. He will be fine with cats who can give as good as they get, but should probably not be around timid ones. And he appears to be completely housebroken!
Quinn is a gem, beautiful, sweet, loving, housebroken, non-destructive, great with all dogs and people and fine with cats. What else could one possibly ask for in a canine companion? Although he is still somewhat underweight at 40 pounds (after all, he was completely emaciated when Animal Control picked him up), he is gaining at a steady rate and with regular meals should be back to normal very soon.
