James is full of energy and absolutely loves plush squeaky toys, playing fetch or getting cozy on the sofa with his human fosters. He is the perfect medium sized boy (approx. 40lbs) with a sleek black and tan coat that is great for snuggles and scratches. He is good with other dogs and likes to rough-house with his larger foster canine sister. James is also good with smaller animals such as cats. He will join in on the chase just in case they are up to something fun that he would not want to miss out on. James is learning that a kennel is a safe and comfortable place to hang out while the humans are away. He is also learning to greet people without jumping up but it’s hard to contain all that excitement but he’s a smart boy and will get the hang of it. James came to T.A.R.A. from an outside shelter so he is also getting a refresher course in potty training. He will need an active and patient family that will continue to work on these skills and a fenced yard for off-leash exercise.

Adoption Fee: $150

TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a  two week trial  .

Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.
