What can I say about this amazing dog, Mario. It is truly unbelievable how great of a dog he is. He deserves to have a family who can spend time with him and love him lots. As of now, he splits his time with 3 other dog rotations, but he does it with grace, even though I know he is sad when its not his turn with me.
He has been fantastic with all visitors to my house. No jumping up, no barking, no bad behaviors at all! He just wags his tail to greet anyone who enters. And he won't jump on the couch unless invited. Last night we laid down and watched a show, and he placed his head in my lap and didn't move an inch for 30 minutes. But its not that he's mopey. He is just content and comfortable. When its time to go outside to potty, he gets excited and seems to be a little clumsy on slick surfaces such as tile or hardwoods. Then he might go out and chase a squirrel for a minute, but if I say his name, he focuses his full attention on me right away. Such a sweet gentle boy.... Oh and he's had zero accidents, even when left out of a kennel in a bedroom for 8-9 hours while I'm at work.
Mario is up to date on vaccinations and neutered. He is great with other dogs and cats too. He is very gentle and would be ideal for children of any age. He is very quiet and prefers to cuddle by your side as much as possible. He loves car rides and sits like a gentleman in the back seat. Mario is heartworm positive, due to being left outside without any heartworm preventative. He will need to undergo treatment soon, which will be covered by donor. Mario will need a quiet environment with low activity while he recovers from treatment for 4-6 weeks. Most of all, Mario needs and deserves a forever home that will love him and provide lots of affection.
