Lexee is a sweet, petite girl about 9 weeks old with long legs and melt-your-heart eyes. She loves following the human around the house and is not happy when she is left alone. It will take some practice before she learns that the kennel is a good and safe place. She is a typical pup - romping in the yard, flopping over whatever she decides not to walk around, and chewing on toys (she’ll need lots of chew toys). She is curious about her world and will chase a falling leaf to make sure she’s there to pounce on it when it hits the ground. She happily will take a nap snuggled on your chest with her nose on your neck. Lexee is smart and is quickly learning that “sit” means “I get a treat” and that “go potty” means the human claps excitedly and “I get special snuggles and treats.” Lexee is not potty trained and will need a patient family to teach her. The human foster thinks that with consistency and routine, she will pick this new skill up easily.  She will need lots of exercise and entertainment with toys, people and other dogs. A tired puppy is a happy puppy!

Adoption Fee: $150.00

TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a  two week trial  .

Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.
