Elfie is a calm girl with a sweet personality.  She was originally picked up by animal control after she was found running a neighborhood. When no one came to claim her, her foster mom stepped in and took her in so she didn't have to stay in a shelter. It is obvious that this young girl was someone's pet because she is housebroken and crate trained and knows sit, down, and gives high fives!  She is very well mannered and a quiet girl.  She loves to be snuggled and to get lots of pets but is just as content laying down on a soft blanket in the corner.  She likes to toss toys around but has a very gentle play style and doesn't get too wound up.  At just under 30 pounds she is believed to be at her full grown size making her ideal for families with children. She is in a foster home with 3 children, 2 larger dogs and a younger puppy and does great with all of them.  She has not been tested with cats but with proper introductions it doesn't appear that she'd have any problems with them.  If you are looking for a young dog with a great personality and sweet temperament please consider Elfie. She'll warm your heart!

Adoption Fee: $150

TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a  two week trial  .

Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.
