Dweezil is a 12 month old puppy with an indomitable spirit. He is also one of the lucky ones and he obviously knows it. Our president was driving down a Kansas City street when she noticed a man beating a little dog with a very big stick and as she was pulling over to yell at the man, the dog ran towards her and jumped in the car. Apparently this little guy was able to discern which humans are evil and which are kind. During his initial check-up, the vet found several ominous burn marks on Dweezil's head; it seems that aside from being beaten, he was also used as an ashtray.

There are dogs who would be extremely leery of people after suffering such abuse, but not this little guy. There is a permanent smile on his face and if he could talk, he would be quite philosophical about his rough beginnings as if to say: "Yeah, well, I had a lousy childhood but I won't let it get me down now that my luck has changed." Dweezil is energetic, playful, affectionate, full of exuberance and loves everyone! He is looking forward to a happy future with a family who will give him all the love and attention he so richly deserves.
