Haines is a sweet natured boy with a love of life.  He came to his foster home very timid and unsure of himself.  He wasn't so sure of what to make of people's touches or other dogs. But after only 2 weeks in a foster home has made such huge improvements!  He has learned what it's like to be loved and living in a family. Haines is a big baby with tons of personality. He's a little clown and acts very silly.  He's learning to play with other dogs and does a great job with 2 older and bigger dogs. He still plays pretty rough and it may be overwhelming for smaller dogs. He needs a patient but larger/older dog to keep him in check.  He is very muscular and strong and has no idea how strong or big he is so children under 8 may be overwhelmed with him always jumping on them in play.  He's a smart boy, and though a little short in attention span and a little stubborn, he has easily picked up and learned the following commands- "sit", "wait", "kennel up", and "load up" (to get in the car).  We are still working on "off", "down", "drop it" and "leave it".  He is completely crate trained and sleeps in there all night without a peep and is also totally housebroken. He's doing a pretty good job walking on a leash but needs to be walked on a harness! He's super sweet and loves to snuggle on you (yes all 35+ lbs of him). He loves to run and play in the yard and is starting to discover playing with toys.  Haines is about 5 months old and will be around 60-70 pounds when fully grown.
