Zac is a five month old Heeler/Lab mix. He’s a country boy that has moved to the city. He is somewhat unsure about what just happened to his world but is adjusting quite well. Many experiences are new to him, like coming inside the house and having a name. In his short time in foster he is proving to be a quick learner and catching on to basic commands. He walks close to the human foster in the back yard so will be a quick study in the art of leash walking. He willingly kennels and knows it’s a safe place for him. He sleeps through the night and keeps his kennel dry (up to four hours during the day and all night). Zac is a playful puppy, soft as a teddy bear with black and white markings. When the sun shines just right a hint of red shimmers in his shiny black coat. He loves humans and is learning to play with other dogs that are not a part of his birth pack. He will benefit greatly from an active family that likes to take adventures (rides well in the car) and spend time teaching him puppy basics. Though you will likely not want to stop there since Zac is a smart boy and will be up for challenges of more complicated tasks.

Approximate Birthdate:  12/2013

Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.
