Shania was found with her brothers (Brooks & Dunn) just sitting, literally sitting, along Stadium Dr on a garbage bag of clothes and shoes. They were all scrunched together so each could be on the bag, the last remnants of things they had known, waiting for their owner to come back to get them, not realizing that they had been dumped along with the clothes and shoes.
Shania is a very dark brindle but it's hard to see in the pictures. Her previous foster home remembers her as the "lover" of the three. She and her brother Dunn are staying at a boarding place until a foster home or forever home can be found for one or both. (Visit https://www.facebook.com/pages/Protective-Animal-Welfare-Society-PAWS/106476030869 for more of her day-to-day activities.)
With her siblings she is the leader but away from them, she becomes shy and clingy so a home with another dog or where she isn't left alone a lot would probably be best.
Because she is still a pup, she needs many things to chew on as well as play with or, as she showed her foster mom, she will get creative and grab her own toys from around the house....shoes being her favorite. But when replaced with an appropriate toy, she quickly forgot the inappropriate toy.
She has obviously been around people but not socialized with new environments so nervous at first but comes around quickly. She hadn't been leash trained but is getting taken for walks at the boarding facility so is coming around with that also.
Please consider opening your home to this beautiful girl (whether to foster or be forever) who has had enough abandonment in her short life.
