If you are looking for love in a beautiful package, meet Tessa. Tessa was rescued from living on a chain outdoors in very terrible weather. A good samaritan would pass by daily, seeing that she had no food, frozen water, and no shelter, and reached out to find a rescue group to help Tessa out of this situation. Poor Tessa was neglected and needed love and attention most of all.

Once Tessa realized she was in a safe, warm place, you could almost see the instant she let her personality blossom. She loves car rides, and sits quietly in the back seat looking out the window.  She is learning kennel training, and is already almost completely housebroken! She had spent her first 9 months of life outdoors on a chain, and within only two weeks she's nearly mastered the art of being a perfect family dog. She loves to play with her foster dog friend, and is baffled as to why the cats do not want to play along with her. She loves children too, even the little ones she met in my family, a 1 and 3 year old. Tessa is a medium-sized shepherd mix at about 40 lbs, and is a young girl at about 9 months, so it is important that Tessa gets lots of exercise. But when its time to cuddle on the couch, you won't find a better partner. Tessa has so much love to give, and its obvious when you look in her eyes.
