Boudreaux came to TARA as a puppy. He was adopted and spent several years with a family but, unfortunately, has now been returned to us because his owner is moving into an apartment where dogs are not permitted. Boudreaux gets along with other dogs and with cats. He is friendly and affectionate and has quite the personality. He can be rather vocal with his opinions - not through loud barking, but rather irritated grumbling noises. He's only five or six years old, but sometimes he sounds a lot like a grouchy old man! Boudreaux is happy to relax in front of the TV or gnaw on a rawhide, however, having been bred as a "working dog," he does need adequate exercise and activity. He would love to have a home where there was plenty of room to roam and explore.

Adoption Fee: $150.00

TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a  two week trial  .

Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.
