Meet handsome Jac! Jac was found as a tiny puppy, living on the mean streets and trying to fend for himself. His luck changed when he was found by one of our volunteers and taken into our program. About a month later, Jac thought he really hit the jackpot when he was adopted by a family and taken home to be the loved and cherished pet he always knew he deserved to be!


Unfortunately, as Jac grew, his family's love for him did not. We guessed that Jac would be about 50 pounds as an adult, but he is actually close to 70. Apparently, this was more than his family wanted to take on and they returned him to us. Jac is now over a year old and just heartbroken to find himself back in a kennel.

He is a great dog, a little goofy but very loving, gets along with dogs and cats and really likes people. One of our members took him home for the weekend and he did just great; he is non-destructive, housebroken and just a joy to have around. He is also a very pretty boy with his funny curled up tail and sweet face and would make a wonderful companion for just about anyone - a familiy with children, dogs, cats, hedge hogs or any other critter or an energetic single person.

Pets listed in TARA's web site are eligible to a two week trial.

Adoption fee varies, usually from $150.00.00 to $250.00.
