Beautiful, loving Nadine is a medium-sized brindle pit bull mix that was found homeless, sick & very scared. Although we don't know much else about this sweet girl's story before she came to TARA, to be honest her story before isn't nearly as important as her story now -- as miss Nadine herself will tell you. Because despite whatever she went thru in the first few years of her life, today Nadine is so filled with love that she needs to tell you at every moment how much she loves you -- and she INSISTS that you love her back (there is no "option" in her mind about whether or not you will love her)! She is currently being fostered with another female pit bull mix who, luckily for Nadine, is very tolerant of Nadine's puppy-like energy & manners-in-training. Although it is unknown how she might be with cats in the same household, Nadine has exhibited a high prey drive when it comes to the neighborhood squirrels. Wherever she was before, it's clear that Nadine hadn't been given much structure or consistency, but she's such a smart girl who's both very food-motivated and eager to please that her foster mom says training her has been a breeze. So far, she's crate trained, house trained, and knows basic commands like Sit, Drop, and Down. They're still working on leash manners, but Nadine LOVES the Flirt Pole that her foster mom bought for some exercise in the yard. Furthermore, with each new set of tricks, manners & rules that she masters, her confidence grows & grows such that her permanently-tucked tail keeps popping out in a full-on wag every now & then in spite of itself! All she needs now is a forever home that will continue her manners' training, will wear her out to help expend that puppy-like energy & then will snuggle the night away with this cuddle bug who wants nothing more than to be loved & to give love in return
