Iola and her 8 siblings had a rocky start to life, for sure. Their feral momma had hidden away in an abandoned old house's basement in KCKS to try and find a safe, quiet spot to give birth to them. Momma did a good job for a couple of weeks, and then a good Samaritan called Chain of Hope to get them the help that they needed to be vetted and taken well care of medically. We were able to get them the help they needed and all sibs are currently waiting in foster homes to be adopted to some lucky person or family!
Iola is a cutie pie, who is a little reserved at first, but once you give her love and affection, she comes running like the playful, sweet pup she truly is. She is currently trying to learn the ropes of potty training and playing nicely with her sister, Iona in their excercise pen. She would respond quite nicely to crate training, if a toy/kong/mental puzzle would be left in there with her, as she is curious and smart!
Please open your heart and possibly your home to this sweet girl. She deserves to have the stability, care and love that all companion animals deserve from us!
