Indiana was found running around downtown KC with his little friend leading the way. He was picked up in front of an office building as his buddy narrowly missed getting hit by a car. He was covered in fleas and ticks and was biting and itching like crazy but was still incredibly sweet and loving. He patiently rode around in a car for over two hours before he was settled into his foster home. He rides very well in a car and just hung out in the back seat and eventually curled up into a little ball behind the front seat. He has ridden to and from the vet and has been a perfect passenger both times.

He and his best friend were unfortunately separated and placed in two different foster homes and he's been missing his best friend ever since. He has been introduced to 3 other dogs and did very well. He was a bit over protective of his little sidekick but after 5 min he just laid down and paid them no attention. He has been kept on his own for the past couple days and it is very apparent he would benefit from going to a home with another doggy to keep him company.

He falls asleep anytime he receives the slightest ear rub and immediately flips onto his back all four paws in the air. He LOVES belly rubs and neck rubs and any type of contact and will adorably paw at your hand if you move your hand away. He does not jump on any furniture unless he thoroughly coaxed with baby talk. He enjoys to lay in the kitchen while his foster mom cleans and cooks. He hates being put into his room when his turn is up and the resident dogs need some attention and he does whine for a little bit but then settles down and you don't hear a peep out of him. He has a kennel but has been so well behaved that he is very rarely kept in it.

Indiana has not had a single accident while in foster and will bark if he needs to go outside. He is very unsure of being outside alone. He seems jumpy and anxious while outside and would rather hold it then go outside. His foster mom does go outside with him and he's become receptive to the terms pee pee and potty. He is skiddish while outside and wants to go back inside rather then coming on recall. For this reason it is important he not be left outside alone or off of a leash. He is a climber and will more than likely scale a fence and be gone if left unattended.

Tricks...He has already learned to sit and is treat motivated but doesn't know what to do with a big ham bone or a toy. He seems unsure of himself at times and it's apparent he has not had many people handle him but he seems eager to learn to trust.

Indiana is a dream to foster and deserves a home to give him tons of time and attention to make up for the lack of both he has been missing his whole life. He has so many firsts to go through yet and will need lots of love and treats to get him through it all while he learns to trust.
