Jake and his brother Elwood were rescued by a T.A.R.A. volunteer from the loading dock of a downtown office building. Sadly, a third sibling was killed by the lift machinery.

Jake is a little more cautious than his brother, but he's generally unafraid of the adult cats and dog in his foster home. Once you gain his trust, he'll happily trade some exploring time for snuggles. He's a big fan of toys and will wrestle with his brother any chance he gets. He has a loud, happy purr and enjoys being held and petted when he's not off checking out his world. You can tell him apart from his brother by his pink nose and thinner face.

Adoption Fee: $110

This cat is currently in foster care. To meet him, please make an appointment with the contact person listed above.

TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip, FeLV/FIV Combo test, flea prevention and deworming. A two-week trial is included as part of the adoption.

Because we do not know the background of many of our cats we cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 2-7 pounds, Med 8-13 pounds, Large 14-19 pounds, Extra Large over 20 pounds.
