Elwood and his brother Jake were rescued by a T.A.R.A. volunteer from the loading dock of a downtown office building. Sadly, a third sibling was killed by the lift machinery.

Elwood is the bravest of the two boys and charges into new situations fearlessly. Once he's finished playing and exploring, he's happy to be petted and snuggled and he'll happily purr for you until he's recharged his kitten batteries. In his foster home, he's been exposed to dogs and adult cats and done fine with them. You can tell him apart from his brother by his darker nose and rounder face.

This cat is currently at the 75th & Metcalf Petco store. To meet him out of the cage, please make an appointment with the contact person listed above.

TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip, FeLV/FIV Combo test, flea prevention and deworming. A two-week trial is included as part of the adoption.

Because we do not know the background of many of our cats we cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 2-7 pounds, Med 8-13 pounds, Large 14-19 pounds, Extra Large over 20 pounds.
