Poor Barkley! This sweet, beautiful boy was adopted as a puppy and after living with a family for three years, he was recently returned simply because they were moving. And, as if that wasn't bad enough, his family didn't even keep him on heartworm preventative while they had him. Now this poor guy is not only heartbroken over being abandoned, he also has deadly heartworm disease.


We will treat Barkley for heartworms and make him all better physically, but the only thing that will truly mend his broken heart is a new loving family that will treat him like the wonderful boy he is and never abandon him so heartlessly. Barkley is about 3 years old, housetrained, good with kids and just an all around super dog who deserves a committed home!
