Hey there, everybody!  So nice to meet you!  My name is Vana, short for Vanuatu.  I was named in honor of an island from the Survivor tv series due to the fact I truly am one....a survivor that is.  More on that later! :)

I am a wonderful "seasoned" lady, about 8 years old, but still very young at heart and so deserving to know what a loving, forever home is for the rest of my life.  You see, my first few, well heck, several years really were most likely filled with having babies non-stop for a selfish breeder.  That's not a good life for anyone...it's very lonely and makes you long for someone to take you away from that existence and love you just for YOU, not because they can make money off of your misery and your babies.  Well, that did happened for me, but it came about in a terrible way.  I was either dumped or got loose from that "former hellish" home and had to survive out on my own for a month or so.  A good samaritan couple (former TARA adopters) found me at the side of their home out in the country, curled up, shivering, scared, so hungry and just about to give up hope in that cold night.  They called on TARA to come to my aid, and that they did!  I got scooped up in a blankie, after being coaxed with some yummy hotdogs (delish!) , and taken to stay at my foster mom's, with lots of other doggies.  I like them all pretty well, they just need to not play so rough with me because my vision is a little limited and I startle a little bit!  Hey, but that's what happens sometimes when you are "mature".  :)    It doesn't make you any less loveable, that's for sure.

If you want to meet me and hopefully let me charm my way into your heart, please fill out an application for me soon!  I really do want to be someone's special companion to share their life with.

Approximate Birthdate:  01/24/2005
