Hi, my name is Jeff! I may have only met you a second ago, but I’m already ready to be your best friend! I was rescued from a backyard in the dead of winter with my friend and her litter of puppies. The nice volunteers from T.A.R.A. came and rescued us and now we live at their boarding facility. It is nice there, but I would much rather snuggle inside with you, my new best friend! I am a stocky little guy and I’m learning that I am a little stronger than I thought! I’m learning that “down” means not to jump up on people and that I will get more attention when I’m calm and patient. It’s tough, but I’m a very smart boy. I love to play with other dogs, especially ones that are nice to me. I don’t even need many toys to make me happy, I just need you to chase me and wrestle.

The volunteers tell me that I’m a Shar-Pei mix, which must be special because I don’t look like a lot of other dogs; I have wrinkles all over but I’m not even old! I’d love to live in a house with adults or older children so that I can continue being my goofy, rambunctious self. There’s not a mean bone in my body. Let me prove it! Adoption Fee: $150 

TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test and prevention (if age appropriate), flea prevention and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a two week trial.

Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.
