Polly is a sweet natured girl who is cautious and timid in new environments and around new people. It doesn't take her long to warm up though and then, she just wants to be your best friend. She has lived with an 18-month old child and, while she does well with children, she does get a little spooked during loud chaotic play, so older children with good manners around her are a must. She also needs to have at least one doggy sibling that she can bond with and to be her leader. She will display separation anxiety (whining, pacing, not eating well) without one, but is completely fine if there's another dog to be her buddy. She loves Kong toys and tennis balls. She does well in a crate, but isn't particularly fond of getting into it yet. She is house trained and has not displayed any destructive behaviors. If you are able to give Polly the home she needs and deserves, fill out a non-binding online application to meet her. Once you meet her, she will instantly grab your heart!
