We found Reina living in a salvage yard with 2 other dogs.  She was in bad shape with extreme hair loss, emaciation, and suffering from neglect.  We could tell that she had encountered some mean people in her past as she was very apprehensive of us.  After several weeks of working with her, we were able to trap her and get her into a vet for treatment.  Once Reina realized that we only wanted to help her, she started building her trust in us!  She is now on the road to recovery and living in a foster home where she has proven herself to be a very low maintenance girl.  She is housetrained and gets along with other dogs, though she prefers if they are also low key and don't want to play too much!  This girl has been through so much in her life, it's time for her to find a stable, loving place to call home!  She would be a very easy first time dog, or a great companion for someone who just wants a low energy friend to hang out with.

Adoption Fee: $150.00

TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test and prevention (if age appropriate), flea prevention and deworming.  TARA's pets are all eligible for a two week trial .

Due to the fact that many of our dogs come from the local city shelters, we do not know the background of many of them and therefore cannot always guarantee age or breed.  Size is subjective but we use the following guidelines: Small 1-20 pounds, Med 20-50 pounds, Large 50-80 pounds, Extra Large over 80 pounds.
