Hi, my name is Xena, you know, like the warrior princess? Want to know how I got such a strong name? I had the fight of my life when Jade's Mission first took me in. A volunteer's son saw me being thrown from a car window in the pouring rain. I landed in a parking lot where I was rushed to the vet. I was covered in so many fleas that I was on my way out of this world. At the vet I was given a blood transfusion, it was my only hope of surviving. My temperature was 96.5, I was skin and bones, and I only weighed one pound. My outlook looked grim, but Jade's Mission volunteers gave me lots of love and I pulled through! After getting through the transfusion I had a long road to recovery. I came down with pneumonia and rhinotracheitis and I had to be force fed every 3 hours by my loving foster mom. It's been five weeks since I was saved and I am a completely different kitten. I run and play with the other cats in my foster home and I am loving life. I am now about 10 weeks old and I am finally strong enough to be spayed. I have had two rounds of kitten shots, am combo test negative, and have had my first feline leukemia shot. I have been dewormed and have a clean bill of health! I am finally ready for my forever home! My first 5 weeks of life were hell, but for the rest of my years I want to fill your heart with love and be the best cat ever! If you are interested in adopting me, please contact the amazing volunteers at Jade' Mission at jadesmission@yahoo.com or by calling 816-737-8574. My adoption fee is $75 and worth every penny!
